  •   We visited in September for seven days package holiday. We were impressed by the hotel, our room was huge and very clean at all times. Safe was provided in the room. Always hot water, the only thing is that the shower kept filling up, not draining, we spoke about it to the cleaner and the lady said that all shower cubicles were the same. Food was good and we really enjoyed the Bulgarian folk music and food night, it was amazing. The staff in dining area were very attentive at all times. We had some questions about the area and every time we asked reception staff they just didn't know anything so they should have more information about transport in the area and other general information. We didn't use the pool but outside area was lovely and the best thing was lovely Bobby in the bar by the pool, thanks Bobby for brilliant cocktails always served with a smile and a chat. We really enjoyed our stay here and I would love to come back again More

Let me start with the positives, the hotel was bright modern and well located for the beach, getting into Sunny beach and Nessebar but not too much in the thick of it that you had thumpung music all night. It was very clean and the staff were helpful and kind. The all inclusive drinks were very good and Bobby the barman was probably the best we've ever come accross. The entertainment staff again brilliant including everyone and creating fun, a special mention for Mimi who made our stay!
What let's this could be 4* hotel down is the food, sadly it was mostly cold, lots of reheated leftovers and unimaginative bland repetitive options. The salad was always good and lots of attractive desserts. But both my husband and I had the Bulgarian trots twice and speaking to other guests so did several other families/groups You cannot keep pork and chicken and rice at the wrong temperatures and reheating is not recommended by British food safety experts.
This could have been a top quality hotel if it hadn't been let down by the approach to the food, maybe due to it being the end of their season or maybe I am being too generous, either way we will never know as we will not be returning. More

  •   Spent 2 weeks here with our 2 children. I have given a 'terrible' score because I think it deserves at least one. It's a pretty new hotel so doesn't have enough reviews yet to show it in it's true light. Firstly, the positives. The hotel is beautiful to look at with a beautiful reception area and the rooms are modern and very clean. I cannot fault the cleaners and they are extremely quick to get your room done when you go out and they are very friendly. The pool area is pleasant with plenty of beds and Bobby the bartender at the pool bar is exceptional in his service, hard work, high standards and friendliness. He was like a shining light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. Now for the negatives! The food is an absolute disgusting mess. The smell alone turns your stomach especially when you have had to endure a full day and night in bed because of it. After falling ill (the children too, aged 3 and 1) we soon discovered that we weren't the only ones. Many people had lost precious holiday time through sickness and the other! Whether it was the food or not we will never know but it certainly wasn't hot and even straight from the 'hot plates' it was luke-warm if you were lucky. The choice was very limited and repetitive so after 5 nights and a long date with... Spent 2 weeks here with our 2 children.

The choice was very limited and repetitive so after 5 nights and a long date with the toilet we ate elsewhere.
Now for the lobby bar!! At an all-inclusive hotel you expect to be served whenever you choose. No. They are more interested in wearing headphones, playing on their phones and smoking fags outside the hotel entrance. If you are lucky enough to catch one they huff and puff when you dare to ask for a drink and my god! If you ask for 2 glasses of wine and they only have 1 clean wine glass left!! They make you uncomfortable and as though you are a complete burden to them.
On our second last night we went out for food as usual (the Chinese restaurant is fabulous) and came back to to hotel for a few drinks before going to bed. We got chatting to a few of the other guests whom we'd gotten to know and the lobby bar staff decided to go home early! After the shock of that, the night reception lad (mosquite pest) told us off for taking too loud!! He said he'd had a complaint from another guest which is complete rubbish because the lobby bar is nowhere near the rooms. He said if we didn't be quiet he would inform security! Remember, we are a family with 2 small children so hardly living the hedonistic Ibiza lifestyle.
We were made to feel like criminal outcasts by a 'fully inclusive' hotel that we had spent a lot of money on.
If it wasn't for Bobby the pool bar bartender and the lovely cleaning ladies we'd have completely lost faith in anything Bulgarian.
Plan a stay here if you are prepared to pay extra to eat out every night and enjoy being spoken to like muck. More

Firstly a few details,Sunny beach is a purpose built holiday centre with over 900 hotels and 300,00 beds,so you can imagine at the height of the season it is going to be very busy, especially around the centre of sunny beach. Please be aware that September is the end of the season and a lot of bars and food outlets start to close and by the 26/28th of September everything closes,Sunny Beach,it appears becomes a ghost town till next May. Now to the Rome Palace Deluxe Hotel; We have just returned for a week AI. WE arrived late (24.00 hrs) due to flight times, first impressions were very good,we had upgraded to a superior room which was large it had an armchair and sofa, and a little kitchen with a sink and a kettle and fridge. As we arrived late they had kindly left us some food, chicken sausage, however we did not attemp to eat them as we were unsure how long they had been there, and with the heat did not want to risk food poisoning on the first night!!.Suggest hotel put the food in the fridge supplied in the room? The hotel was very clean, rooms cleaned every day, pool area again very clean, never had a problem getting a sun bed. To get to the beach exit the gate by the resteraunt, straight ahead and go through the arch labelled "Hidden" (its the name of a bar on the beach) there is a wooden walkway to the beach,so if you have a pram life is easier to get beach side,.
Now to the food--this is where the Hotel falls down badly, there is very little variety, all food that was supposed to be hot was cold and it spoilt the holiday as even the salads were not up to much, how people say the food was great is beyond me.
The staff are quite surly hardly ever smile and it seemed to us they did not want to be there, the exception was Boby at the pool bar, smiling and chatty, maybe the Management should teach their staff to smile, and at least say hello once in a while.
    A couple of tips:
There is a 24 hr supermarket outdide front door turn left and 50 yards, sells fags, food drink.
Try to get to Nessebar old town, you can catch a bus outside the hotel and it casts 1.30 lev (65p) one way well worth the visit.
BEWARE pickpockets,i was on the bus near the aisle with a pair of shorts with side zip up pockets,my wallet was in there, three womwn got on board, did not think anything about it till i felt something, looking down one of them was about to remove my wallet, luckily i stopped her in time,so beware they are very good at pickpocketing.
If you go shopping take a few 1 lev coins, they have sort of "public" toilets but it costs you1 lev to acess Overall good Hols, good hotel but food rubbish More

Booked a last minute 10 day stay for a party of four and chose Rome Palace Deluxe after reading the reviews.

We're all enjoying our stay - a great room, good food, good drinks and even more enjoyable being all inclusive! The staff are also friendly; Bobby the barman is an absolute asset to the hotel and goes above and beyond for all guests, thank you!

The hotel is very clean, rooms are fresh and cleaned daily. There is a safe in the room which is free of charge.
Pool towels are available with a deposit of 10 lev per towel, which can be changed daily, deposit is refunded on check out.
The pool area is very clean and plenty of sunbeds.
There is a pool bar area with table and chairs. Everyday at 15.00 hrs there is food prepared at the pool kitchen, this is on til 17.00 hrs.
There is an animation team which is pretty low key.
Most of the staff are very solemn and ignorant apart from reception staff.
Food is edible but very repetitive, hope you like chicken.
The hotel is on the main road and traffic noise can be heard when around the pool.
It’s approximately a 15 minute walk into Sunny Beach strip.
Also approximately an hours walk into Nesebar old town. You can get a bus outside the hotel into Nesebar for 1.30 lev.
Taxis are expensive in Sunny Beach, ask a price before getting in. More

staff is nice, the place is fairly clean, restaurant is decent. The pool can be useful also. It is not far from the beach, although a few minutes walk is necessary. All in all it is a nice place to be.

  •   On arrival late at night staff were waiting to take our bags to our room, they were so polite and helpful, there was food laid out in the dinning part of the room and bottled water which after such a long day was appreciated.
The hotel was beautiful and very clean. We had 2 rooms with a dining/living area joining them and a balcony for both rooms. The rooms were cleaned daily, staff were always keen to help and so polite.
The bar men at the poolside bar were friendly, happy and helpful as were the staff in the restaurant. The all inclusive food was as expected, there was always something you would eat as there was plenty of choice. We went in June but the dinning area and pool side were never that busy, however the pool side was not very big so if this had been busy you may have struggled to get a place.
The beach was just a short walk away along with shops and restaurants. The main area sunny beach where all the night life is was far enough away to not disturb you but a 20 minute walk if you wished to be part of it.
There was a small play area for children on the hotel grounds which looked well maintained although we did not use this as our children are grown up.
We loved our stay here and would come again. Very good value for money.

I'm starting this review by stating that I'm granting a 3 star rating based on the poor experience me and my family had with the restaurant / food in this hotel - having an "all inclusive" 5 days mini - vacation. Otherwise, if we would have stayed at Rome Palace without the meals => 5 star rating guaranteed. And that's because the hotel is new, rooms are big and kept very clean and the staff is helpful and always smiling / willing to help.
    Coming back at the food:
    - breakfast with a lot of choice but the same every morning and the food quality is very poor (my wife found altered cheese, etc). No variety form day to day whatsoever.
    - lunch and dinner: Basic food, very cheap ingredients, you feel like someone just put together some ingredients and came up with dish X, then what was left was transformed in dish Y, etc => just to say that there is some food and you may find some dishes that you can choose from, but zero consideration for the actual clients.
-the "snacks" by the pool which you may find between meals (since it was an all inclusive package) consisted mainly in some pizza's which were made with the leftovers from lunch (my wife actually found some pickled cucumbers in her pizza) and some fries with meatballs...
What a great hotel, above average for Bulgaria (we travel a lot) but such a shame for the food...

We spent in Rome Palace hotel a very nice 11 days holiday with children.
It is not as Tripadvisor 5 stars international standard as it´s rated here. But the services is highly above standard for Sunny Beach.
The programm All inclusive is sufficient. Food was very good.
Overall, I would recommend the hotel Rome Palace Deluxe at Sunny Beach. It offers good service for reasonable price.
